CABERNET – NEA DRIS
GRAPES/VARIETIES: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc
VINEYARD: In the region of Vasiliko, in the department of Achaia vines are cultivated at an altitude of 150m. The soil is a mixture of sand, clay and lime and the production about 900Kg per strema.
VINTAGE: Middle September with a sugar concentration of 235g/L.
WINE: Deep and purple red colour, aromas of green pepper, blackberry, chocolate, vanilla, incense, tobacco, spices on the nose. Full bodied, stout, kind of aggressive when it is still young, with an excellent structure of tannins and a fascinating aftertaste.
Serve at 18°C with all kinds of meat in the oven, grilled or cooked, kind of sausage, desserts based on chocolate.
With an excellent storage it can be enjoyed for ten more years from the vintage.
