MERLOT – SYRAH
GRAPES/VARIETIES: 80 % Merlot, 20% Syrah
VINEYARD : In the region of Vasiliko, in the department of Achaia vines are cultivated at an altitude of 150m. The soil is a mixture of sand, clay and lime and the production about 900Kg per strema.
VINTAGE: Early September with a sugar concentration of 230g/L.
WINE: Plumy purple colour, aromas of red fruits, cherry and framboise, vanilla and butter flavoured caramel on the nose. Full bodied with ripe red fruits and velvety structure of tannins completed by sweet marmalade in the mouth.
Serve at 18°C with pastas combined with bacon, chilly and tomatoes, pork, veal and curry dishes, lamb steak, duck ΰ l' orange.
With an excellent storage it can be enjoyed for five more years from the vintage.
