CHARDONNAY
GRAPE/VARIETY: 100 % Chardonnay.
VINEYARD: In the region of Vasiliko, in the department of Achaia vines are cultivated at an altitude of 150m. The soil is a mixture of sand, clay and lime and the production about 900Kg per strema.
VINTAGE: Late August with a sugar concentration of 235g/L.
WINE: Dull colour of old straw, aromas of drain fruits (pineapple, bananas, pear), vanilla, hazel-nut, almond on the nose. Full bodied, round, with buttery texture an Septembre d pleasant finish.
Serve at 12 -14 °C with fish grilled or smoked, white meat combined with white sauces, strong cheeses, pastas with sauces based on butter and garlic and many traditional Greek plates, like mousaka, baked macaroni.
With an excellent storage it can be enjoyed for five more years from the vintage.
